NIJL Hires their newest Sales Engineer – Welcome John Timmerman


We are pleased to welcome John Timmermans to NIJL as our new Sales Engineer. With a solid background in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience in both engineering and commercial roles, John brings a valuable combination of technical insight and customer focus to our team.

John studied mechanical engineering at both college and university level and has always combined his technical education with strong social engagement. During his student years, he was actively involved in participation councils and student associations, which helped shape his collaborative and communicative working style. He began his professional career as a Manufacturing Engineer, where he designed, assembled, and tested welding and machining jigs. After 1.5 years, John made a deliberate move into the commercial side of the business, joining a sales team as an Inside Sales Account Manager. In this role, he handled quotations and orders and maintained close contact with customers around the world.

This transition from engineering to sales was a logical and rewarding step for John. He enjoys being the link between customers and the organization, combining technical knowledge with clear communication. The combination of both theoretical and practical experience allows him to support customers effectively and cooperate closely with colleagues on technical matters.

John’s decision to join NIJL was driven by the opportunity to work on larger projects, be part of a close-knit team, and contribute directly to both customer satisfaction and the company’s growth. He is excited by NIJL’s ambition, its state-of-the-art products, and the room it offers for personal and professional development. The position of Sales Engineer is exactly what John was looking for – and we are excited to have him on board.
