NIJL Group supports Iberia’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign with bespoke NB & WB Access Equipment

NIJL has been awarded a comprehensive Ground Support Equipment package supporting Iberia’s Airbus A320 and A330/A350 fleets, combining high-performance maintenance access with a wider social impact initiative.

The order includes a focused range of special-purpose access stands, designed for critical aircraft zones:

• THS (Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer) access stands – A320 & A330/A350
• Bulk cargo & cargo hold access platforms – narrow and wide body
• Cockpit window access stands – precision maintenance solutions
• Passenger (PAX) access platforms – wide body aircraft
• Wide Body Main Landing Gear (MLG) stands

NIJL’s engineered stands are purpose-built to provide safe, stable, and efficient access to complex aircraft areas, combining aluminium and steel structures, anti-slip platforms, and height-adjustable configurations for multi-aircraft usability.

A single programme – covering tail, cargo, cockpit, fuselage, and landing gear access—demonstrates NIJL Group’s capability to engineer full-aircraft access solutions at scale.

But Why Pink?

Each year, Iberia marks World Breast Cancer Awareness Day by transforming its operations into a visible platform for awareness and fundraising. Aircraft cabins, lounges, and onboard services are “turned pink” – from customised headrests carrying the message:

“The most important journey is your life”

to themed onboard elements and products designed to spark conversation and visibility around early detection and prevention.

This delivery supports Iberia’s operational excellence while aligning with its breast cancer awareness efforts in collaboration with Pink Ribbon.

The initiative goes beyond symbolism, incorporating direct fundraising through partnerships with organisations such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). Campaigns like “Drops of Solidarity” include pink water bottles sold onboard and in lounges, with €1 from each purchase donated to support research and awareness, alongside additional contributions through ticket sales and onboard activity.
