The NIJL F-35 Cockpit Ladder is purpose-designed around the geometry and access requirements of the F-35, providing technicians with safe, stable access to the cockpit during maintenance and support operations.
Manufactured from aluminium, the ladder combines a lightweight construction with the stability required for regular operational use. A dedicated working platform provides comfortable access at cockpit level, with an anti-slip aluminium surface suitable for technicians who may need to sit or kneel while carrying out maintenance tasks.
The folding frame can be changed between working and transport positions by one person without tools. Integrated wheels allow the ladder to be moved easily by hand, while fixed anti-slip feet provide a stable working position when deployed. Its compact folded configuration also makes efficient use of storage space when the ladder is not in use.
Aircraft-facing areas are protected with non-staining rubber resistant to oil and kerosene, helping protect the aircraft surface during positioning and maintenance. A removable aluminium handrail, reflective markings and integrated earthing point further support safe day-to-day operation.
The NIJL F-35 Cockpit Ladder has been assigned a NATO Stock Number, enabling standardised identification and procurement through the NATO supply system.
